In 2005 an American with extensive experience in spirits production, the trucking industry, and national distribution sales asked himself the question: "Why am I looking abroad to Russia, Poland, Sweden,and France to enjoy the best-of-the-best in high-end, upscale spirits when I have the acumen, skill, and talent to create and produce innovative, high-quality spirits in my own backyard?” My name is Gerald Van Nellum and I am GV3.

GV3 is crafted in small batches at a California facility to assure consistency, quality, and adherence to the highest standards exacted by federal government regulations.

In 1978, as a child, his uncle N.F. (his father’s brother) introduced him to moonshine in Moorhead, Mississippi. His father then moved the mason jars of the finest moonshine from Mississippi to California in the hidden trap of his 1976 Dodge van.
